1. (shop manual)
true or false -a. says trouble codes will indicate the exact failure in the circuit
b.trouble codes will direct the technician to the circuit or system with the fault in it.
2. true or false
a. During the processing function the computer uses input information and compares it to programmed instructions
b. during the output function the computer will put our control commands to various output devices.
3. Shop Manual
refering to testing of the magnetic pulse generator
true or false
a.you can use an ohmmeter to test the resistance value of the coil.
b. the voltage generation of the sensor can be tested by connecting a voltmeter across the sensor terminals.
multiple choice – Computers-
All of the following statements about computer memory are true,EXCEPT:
A.RAM stores temporary information that can be written to and read by the CPU
B.ROM can only be read by the CPU
C.All PROM memory is flashable
Volatile memory is erased when voltage is removed
Im not just looking for the anwser, but can you explain it to me as well? TY

Hope you pass your test no help from me do your own research

! B
2 A
3 A.
RAM ( random access memory) can be read and written by the technician and the compuuter
ROM( read only Memory) is the core program of the computer. none accessable by any roockie. it is re-setable.
ROM is not volatile
RAM is volatile.
I do not give warranties of the 100% acuracy in the answers
but I know I am pretty close.
I am retired from labor and books, auto shop owner , still.

1)
A False
B True
Computer isn’t perfect & can’t alway tell you exactly what wrong. It can only read sensors.
2)
A True
A sensor will put out a number, say 0-100, the program has a preset number (like 50) & determines if the sensor is above or below this set point.
b True
That’s what output means, like causing a solenoid to operate
3)
A True
an ohmmeter will determine if the coil is open (broken wire)
B True ?
Worded a little strange, but if I get the gist of the question yes
Mult-choice
C is wrong not all PROM’s are flash memory, the others are true
Good luck on the test..
