Magnetic Generator Q and A's

Magnetic Generator Plans - Magnet4Power

A generator uses a coil that has 117 turns and a 0.517 T magnetic field. The frequency of this generator is 45.0 Hz, and its emf has an rms value of 115 V. Assuming that each turn of the coil is a square (an approximation), determine the length of the wire from which the coil is made.

Which formula I have to use to solve this problem ?
what about the number of turns ?

the formula T=Vs/M squared does not show me number of turns.

One Response to “Determine the length of the wire from which the coil is made…?”

  1. scrunge5440 Says:

    The answer is one meter.

    The formula is
    T= Vs
    ——
    M squared

    Where T is the tesla value, V is the voltage, s is the frequency and M is the length of wire in meters.

    Then, plugging in the numbers and solving for "M" it is the square root of .517 (tesla value) divided by the product of 45 hz and 115 violtes (.5175) equals one meter.
