energy IS free. the sun provides us with WAY more energy than we can ever use ( or harness for that matter)
however perpetual motion machines, or any closed system that doesn’t require any input of energy to operate do not exist.
as for your examples, this "overunity" engine is a gimmick, quite possibly a scam. by the dare i say, impossible, off chance that what they claim is true, we’ll find out in a year or so. and i’ll eat my words.
as for hydrogen fuel cell technology, its hardly "free energy". while it is highly effecient and clean, the costs and logistics of mass production to fuel cars is far greater and far more complicated to bother with at its current stage of development, to compete with crude oil. and the energy derived from hydrogen fuel cells come from the chemical potential energy stored in chemical bonds, it doesn’t appear out of no where.
speaking of cars and fuel, unleaded regular gas prices just passed $4.70/gallon. and over $5/gallon for premium. how crazy is that.

I think at laws of thermodynamics works quit well, but there may be some loopholes.
My opinion is at those water fuel generators just don’t work. Why? Let start from alternator, let say at it gives 20A to HHO generator that is 240W (alternator takes over 300W from motor for that). Hydrogen production efficiencies can be 65% so now you have 156W in hydrogen and oxygen. You put it in car engine (efficiencies about 20%) you get 31.2W mechanical work out. Whit that 31.2W you should pay that over 300W what alternator takes. Sorry not work!
Why some people get better MPG whit HHO generator (are they liars)?
Not all reports better MPG readings are lies. That waisted near 300W is so small amount of energy when compared car motor full power (that can be 165000W or 165kW) at it no make your MPG so bad at you can’t get it better whit your driving habit. When you buy HHO generator you probably try to get good MPG reading so you don’t push "pedal on metal" all the time.
This is what happened to me (whit out any generators): Usually when I drive to see my mother and father (300km or 200M) I get 18 miles / gallon. Once I was tired and say my girl friend at she can drive. When we are gasoline station near my parents I start to wonder at how my tank is still so full. I calculate MPG and it was 27.67 miles / gallon. I start to think what my girlfriend makes so good and I find out at my ON/OFF driving is only bad habit. Next trip I get 24.5 miles / gallon. I must say at I’m not as good driver as my girl friend but..
