This video shows the 26+5/8″ diameter 3/4″ birch plywood flywheel ring which has been attached to the bike wheel, and a spin test is performed with the stator at full height above the rotor. The flywheel has some runout that throws the wheel off balance, which of course is a negative aspect that needs to be addressed. Also, the 3+3/4 pound additional weight will cause further drag on the bearings, which are already in rough shape. Thus, I perform this test spin not knowing if these negatives can be overcome by the magnetic forces of attraction and repulsion, and whatever amount of inertial momentum that can be provided by the flywheel. Does it work? Watch and see…….

In this video I demonstrate how the stator arm can be readjusted for use in a position where the stator magnet is aligned across the wheel rim, and used to produce continuous rotational movement. I may have moved the stator magnet more than is actually necessary with this technique, since the movement required is only 1″ maximum swing, and just 1/2″ will actually work well too. This method should be accomplished with the pivot point centered directly over the wheel rim, rather than at the corner of the frame as I now have it, but this dual use stator arm still works well enough to demonstrate with. The most difficult task involved is in maintaining proper timing, because after 4 or 5 movements of the arm, the wheel is spinning quickly enough so that the rotor magnet groups tend to visually blur together and the start and end points of each group cannot be distinguished. With a mechanical tracking system, there would be no problem maintaining correct timing. While this method definitely is workable, and has distinct advantages over the “lifting” method described in video #12, this is not my preferred method. I will demonstrate the preferred method in my next video. I hope you enjoy this, and thanks for watching, Rickoff

This video shows the same “cat’s meow” magnet configuration demonstrated in video #15, but here I lower the stator arm, from the previous 1.75 inch height above the rotor magnets, to a 1 inch gap. As can be seen, this dramatically increases the attraction and repulsion effects. The rotor quickly accellerates, after a few seconds, to the point where accurate and visually coordinated timing is no longer possible. At that point I take a digital tachometer reading and call it a day. If anyone watching this cannot see the significance of this demonstration, or cannot understand how powerful this method really is, then you really should take the time to review all of the lessons and demonstrations of the previous videos. For those who do understand the yet untapped full potential of this method, I hope you are ready to join in advancing this project forward. Please e-mail me if you wish to join the effort, and I will send a free pdf file with complete step-by-step replication instructions to the first 50 responders who are serious about carrying this forward. Be sure to include your own e-mail address in your message. I will also add you to my Pipe Dream e-mail recipient list, and you will be guaranteed to receive the latest breaking news and test results, plus updates to the pdf file as they become available. Thank you for your continued interest, Rick

My purpose in this video is to clear up a common misconception held by several viewers of my videos, which is that I should be employing some method in order to counter the effects of so-called “sticky points.” I start by once again explaining what a sticky point is, and demonstrate how this – as well as undesired repulsion forces – can cause rotation to stop in a stationary stator setup. I then go on to explain and demonstrate why there is no need to employ methods to negate or weaken these forces with my moving stator setup. Quite simply, my MOSTAT (moving stator) method entirely avoids these counter rotational forces by moving in such a way as to turn them into productive, additive accelleration forces.
